OVERVIEW
Every healthcare organisation now has access to powerful AI. Models are improving, the tech is getting cheaper, investment continues apace.
But the results are sobering. MIT's Project NANDA put a number on it last summer: 95% of enterprise GenAI pilots produced no measurable P&L impact. The organisations pulling ahead are redesigning how decisions are made, how work is organised and where expertise is applied. Others are deploying the same tools yet finding that precious little changes beyond a growing portfolio of AI projects.
The uncomfortable possibility is that healthcare has confused AI adoption with organisational change.
This private dinner brings together senior leaders from healthcare providers, payers, life sciences, medtech and health technology, under Chatham House rules, to examine what separates organisations turning AI into lasting advantage from those simply adding another layer of technology.
Discussion Themes:
If everyone has access to the same AI, where does advantage come from?
As foundation models become increasingly commoditised, is organisational adaptability becoming the only advantage that compounds?
What had to change before AI started creating meaningful impact?
Which decisions, governance structures, approval processes and ways of working had to change before AI moved beyond isolated successes to become part of how the organisation actually operates?
What will distinguish the winning healthcare organisations of 2031?
If you were designing your organisation today, knowing what AI can now do, what would you build differently - and what would you stop doing altogether?
